Mom recently had the opportunity to read a book by an author we had met on our travels: Sue Torres is an animal advocate, rescue volunteer and proud pit bull owner. Her book “Loyalty Unleashed” is a collection of stories from pit bull owners and pit bull rescue organizations which are both sad and heartwarming at the same time.
“Loyalty Unleashed” is a wonderful book that through its stories highlights the unfortunate tragedy of the pit bull breed. Over the last few decades, this breed has unfairly gone from the All-American dog to the most feared breed in America. My mom always says that there are no bad dogs just bad owners. I watched Mom cringe at some of the sad stories of what has happened to these dogs and the breed overall. I have personally known quite a few pit bulls over my short (and awesome) life and have never once had a bad experience. Pit bulls are like all other dogs: some are great and some are not. I can’t imagine if Puggles had such a bad reputation that people would actually cross the street to avoid me when they saw me coming. I think everyone should read this book and understand the truth behind this breed. All dogs deserve love and a good home. I am grateful for my human and all my doggie friends big and small. Check out this book which is available on Amazon. Also, the author has recently released her follow-up “Loyalty Unleashed II”.
Please help spread the word about this great breed of dogs!
