People always say that timing is everything. Well I am hear to tell you that it is true! I am writing a blog; anyone who knows me knows this is the last thing on the face of the earth that they thought I would be doing (lion taming maybe, but never blogging!) But here I am, blogging and loving it, and it all has to do with a chance encounter at the dog park. I was at a place in life where I was looking for something new to be excited about. I had a good career, my husband and I own an Athletic Training Facility, but I felt there was something else I was meant to do. I wasn’t sure what it was, but I was searching for something. Then over the course of several months, I got to know this gal at the dog park (all because our dogs had become great friends). We had the same sense of humor, the same outlook on life, family, and just about everything else, and to top it off, we had the same name! We would sit at the dog park talking and laughing nonstop. One day I said to Kari that we should write a book about all our dog stories incorporating our unique sense of humor. To my great surprise, she was all for it. I then suggested that we should have the book published in time for Christmas. After Kari got over her mild panic attack (given that this conversation was in July), she agreed and dove right in with me. She is the best friend and business partner I could ever ask for. I could never have embarked on this journey without her. We often say that together we make one great person, as each of our strengths and weaknesses seem to balance each other out. I want to thank Kari and especially Max for befriending Luther. I am so grateful to the both of them for making our new business venture a reality. We are having so much fun!
